The figure regarding you from the high-backed chair of black laquered wood is,at once, both beautiful and imposing. He smiles, looking you over with unblinking eyes of Ice-blue;shimmering eyes that look into your soul. His long black hair stands in sharp contrast to the bone white of his skin, as do the black swordsman's shirt and jeans that he wears.Knee-high snakeskin boots complete his ensamble, and a 17th-century Flamberge Rapier rests on the right side of the chair.Powerful waves of presence emanate from him, assaulting your emotions. He arches his fingers as he stares at you. "Welcome,my friend,to the Terrain Between. You are no longer within the realms of what you term 'reality',but have stepped into a much darker world, one where your greatest fears have come for you time and again;a place where the greatest terrors of the deepest parts of your mind exist, waiting for you to fall asleep.Be warned;the world that you know does not exist here...only darkness and pain, fear and terror.Do you understand?" He smiles, the look of a cruel predator gleaming in his eyes. "I am doubtful as to whether or not you have the mental fortitude to withstand the powers of my home.If you are willing to try,however..." He waves his hand in an arc, encompassing the entire haven. "...then welcome to my nightmare."

The lair of the Nightmare court is the shell of a ruined cathedral. From the outside, grey slate walls rise imposingly over a dark and silent graveyard.A pair of black double-doors is the only entrance, and above those are two broken windows.Dark stains run from each window to the ground below, giving the cathedral the image of a weeping face. Within, the haven is even less welcoming, its stained-glass windows depicting the most sinister and horrifying scenes one can imagine, its columns carved to resemble suffering humans forever condemned to hold up its vast, domed ceiling.Row upon row of rotting pews line the hall, facing a beautifully carved altar, upon which is set a leather-bound book set with the symbols of the Sabbat, and that of the Nightmare Court- a sleeping human floating among tendrils of black mist. The presence of power flows through the very essence of the place, and there is the ever-present feeling that you are being watched...
